Been a minute @CasolasPizza. This used to be in my ol’ hood. I used to go about once a week since it was so close by before. My go-to was their steak and cheese sub. Loved getting my pizza appetizers while I waited for my orders. I remember their burgers were really good, too. So, fast forward a decade or so and I find them again on a delivery service. The reunion gave me butterflies in my stomach. The pizza, of course, was good, but this pound of meat they call the Casola’s Burger was mental!!! It has two half-pound @certifiedangusbeef patties, each topped with grilled onions, ground Italian sausage, and white (American?) cheese. I opted to leave off the salad this time around, as it was perfect the way it was, IMO. You can opt for LTO, though, if you want. 🎶 It’s the end of the world as we know it… 🎶 So I really should try to order something other than a burger when I go to @Pincho. 🤷🏻‍♂️ This is their Vaca Frita Philly. It was the most sold monthly special in all their history, so I figured it would be a good option to try. The Pipo’s Choice 🍔 was calling my name, but I resisted and ordered the Philly. I’m glad I did because it was really good. The beef they use is braised for 16 hours and then pan-fried to perfection. It’s topped with mojo grilled onions, cherry peppers, provolone cheese, crunchy potato sticks and aji aioli. All these combine to make one super flavorful sandwich. And since today is #InternationalBeerDay, what better way to celebrate than with @Unibroue’s La Fin Du Monde, a Belgian-style award-winning golden ale (the most awarded Canadian beer). It’s complex taste of fruit and spices make this a great pairing for this one-of-a-kind sandwich.

Even the hot dogs are hiding now. This one is being socially-distant thanks to all the extra layers of protection placed around it. The soft bun provides an excellent barrier to the elements and helps to contain all the fluids within, like the @Pincho and cilantro sauces and the pineapple. The top layer, composed of Applewood-smoked bacon and potato sticks, form a crispy protective shell that hides all but the tip of this formidable frank. All that’s missing is the mask. In all seriousness, though, we surpassed 10k positive cases in FL and set a new record of cases in a day. Now’s not the time to lose focus and start getting comfortable.
